Environmental Laureates’ Call for Action towards a Sustainable Food System

From 7^th until 9^th March 2018 the second World Organic Forum organized by the Foundation “Haus der Bauern” and its partners will take place in Kirchberg/Jagst, Germany.

International Experts will discuss the need of change of the agricultural paradigm. On Friday 9^th March the Projects Coordinator of the League for Pastoral Peoples, Ilse Köhler-Rollefson, will give a presentation with the title: „Animal Keepers and their Rights in International Framework Agreements: Roads for their Implementation”.

LPP and its partners LPPS and the Camel breeders of Rajasthan have lobbied for years for government support for camel dairying. Most recently at the Marwar Camel Culture Festival where this proposition received strong backing of H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur, we are happy to report there now seem to be concrete plans by the Rajasthan cooperative diary to initiate the purchase and sale of camel milk.
