This is the policy of the League for Pastoral Peoples and Endogenous Livestock Development (LPP) against discrimination and harassment of others, designed to protect against all forms of violence.

Such discrimination and harassment include verbal, visual or physical assaults relating to a person’s race, age, religion, skin colour, national origin, ancestry, gender, physical or mental disability, or state of health. Harassment also includes any other conduct that impairs a person’s work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment.

LPP hereby expressly states that, in addition to the forms of discrimination mentioned above, sexual harassment and violence in all forms of interaction and communication with one another are specifically prohibited and will not be tolerated.

Any person working with LPP or acting on its behalf must distance themselves from sexualised violence and exploitation, as well as from any form of discrimination against others (both children and adults) on the basis of their gender.

Every complaint is taken seriously and treated in strict confidence. Both the complainant and the person against whom the complaint is made will be given the opportunity to respond to the allegations.

The contact person for complaints is Dr. Christiane Herweg, who also offers advice and support to those affected.
