The animal icons show the pastoralist groups that keep yaks. Click on an icon for information on that group. The red dots give information on organizations relating to yaks. The shaded area shows the approximate natural range of yaks. Yaks are also kept outside this area, particularly in North America and Europe.

Show or hide layers using the Open browser icon on the left. See further information by clicking on the About icon. Change the background map by clicking on the arrow below the coloured map icon . Maximize the sidebar by clicking on Toggle size at the top of the sidebar.
